Public Course Details

You must have proof of training in either Fall Arrest or Working at Heights to operate the MEWPs.
  • COST: $295.00 per student (plus HST)
  • Time: 8:30 am - 4:00 pm
  • Students receive theory and practical training for both a scissor lift and articulating boom lift.
  • We supply fall arrest equipment for use during practical training.
  • Laminated wallet card awarded to successful students at the end of the course.

Who should take this course?

Workers who are required to operate different types of mobile elevated work platforms, including scissor lifts and articulating boom lifts, are required to receive training before they first operate a machine - refresher training required every three years or if poor performance indicates this should be done sooner. Students receive theory and practical instruction on the safe operation of machinery, applicable OHSA requirements, CSA standards, MLTSD Regulations, and accident prevention.

This course is ideal for employers and supervisors who are in charge of workers who operate MEWPs.
