Details

Our Quick Cut Saw Safety course (also known as Cut-Off Saw or Power Cutter training) is designed for workers who operate handheld saws used to cut concrete, masonry, metal, or asphalt. These powerful tools are essential on construction and industrial sites—but they demand skill, focus, and respect.

Participants learn how to safely inspect, start, and operate a quick cut saw while maintaining control and minimizing risks from kickback, flying debris, vibration, and dust exposure. The course covers blade selection, guarding, maintenance, and proper cutting techniques in accordance with Ontario’s Occupational Health and Safety Act and manufacturer requirements.

Through a mix of classroom discussion and practical demonstration, students gain the confidence to use the equipment safely and efficiently on the job.
