THE Details

Stand-on skid steers – also known as mini track loaders – are compact, powerful machines widely used in construction, landscaping, property maintenance, and material handling. Their size and versatility make them ideal for tight spaces, but without proper training, they can still present serious safety risks.

Our Stand-On Skid Steer (Mini Track Loader) Operator Training is designed to help workers operate confidently and safely while meeting Ontario’s safety expectations and employer due-diligence requirements.

Our public courses are delivered using a Dingo-style stand-on skid steer, reflecting the equipment operators are likely to encounter on real job sites.
The course covers the fundamentals of safe mini track loader operation, including machine controls, balance and stability, safe travel and maneuvering, load handling, hazard awareness, and basic maintenance.

During the practical session, students demonstrate how to complete a pre-use inspection, operate controls smoothly, steer and stop safely, lift and transport materials, and work with precision in real-world conditions typical of stand-on skid steer use. Participants learn how to properly inspect the equipment, recognize common hazards, and apply best practices to prevent tip-overs, struck-by incidents, pinch points, and equipment damage.

Whether you’re new to operating a mini track loader or looking to refresh your skills, this Ontario-compliant course helps operators build confidence, competence, and safe habits that transfer directly to the job site.
