THE Details

Stepping into a supervisory role changes everything. You’re no longer just responsible for the work — you’re responsible for the people doing it. That takes more than experience; it takes awareness, communication, and the ability to see the bigger picture.

Our Supervisor Awareness Training was built to teach more than the rules. It teaches the why behind them - and the how to lead safely, confidently, and with respect.

Built from real field experience and the latest OHSA and psychosocial safety research, this 2026 edition gives supervisors the tools to lead with confidence, clarity, and care.

From hazard management and inspections to communication, leadership, and mental health awareness  - every section has been redesigned to reflect today’s worksites and tomorrow’s expectations.
To be legally compliant in Ontario, every supervisor must:
  1. Complete Supervisor Awareness Training (O. Reg. 297/13, s.2).
  2. Understand their duties under OHSA s.27.
  3. Be familiar with relevant sector regulations
  4. Be competent in hazard recognition, assessment, and control.
  5. Know how to work with the JHSC/HSR and MLITSD inspectors.
In Ontario, this training isn’t a box to check - it’s a foundation for every leader who wants to do the job right. Because great supervisors don’t just manage the work. They set the tone for how it’s done.

(Hi John)...Thank you again for sharing all of your knowledge with us last week. Everyone learned so much and you made it very interesting with all of your real-life examples and prompting discussions. The team is really happy they got to be a part of the Supervisor Awareness Training.

Two Course Options

A: Construction Version
Designed for supervisors working on Ontario construction projects, this version focuses on the Construction Regulation (O. Reg. 213/91), high-risk hazards, coordination of trades, site-specific documentation, and the supervisory duties that keep crews safe and compliant. It includes practical tools like FLRAs, inspections, hazard controls, and leadership strategies tailored for fast-moving job sites.

B: Industrial Version
Built for supervisors in manufacturing, warehousing, municipal, transportation, and service sectors, this version highlights the Industrial Establishments Regulation (O. Reg. 851) and the unique hazards found in industrial environments. Participants learn how to identify risks, lead safe operations, support due diligence, and communicate effectively in busy facilities with shifting demands and multiple work groups.

Both versions deliver the same strong foundation in OHSA duties, due diligence, hazard recognition, communication, documentation, and leadership — with examples and activities customized to your industry so supervisors can apply what they learn right away.
