MEWP: Boom Lifts

This course provides in-depth training for machine operators of Articulating or Telescopic Boom Lifts that follows CAN/CSA B354.4-02 (R2013). 

​Students receive theory and practical instruction on the safe operation of machinery, applicable OHSA regulations, accident prevention, safe handling of materials, loads and stability, and operational controls.

• Understanding travel restraint systems and options for equipment are discussed and put into practice during practical training
• Students must complete and pass a theory and practical skills test to attain certification.​
• Recertification every three years is recommended or sooner if new equipment is put into use; or the operator has had an incident or is otherwise struggling.

       REQUIREMENTS

• Students must provide proof of training in either Fall Arrest or Working at Heights 
• CSA approved steel toed-boots ​
• Dress for the weather 

TIME
3.5 hours of theory followed by practical training.
​Course length can be affected by number of students, class participation, and levels of experience.
