Surface Mining Common Core
Surface Mining Common Core training in Ontario is essential for individuals who work in surface mining operations or industries closely associated with surface mining activities. All production employees, working full and part-time, in a Surface Mining operation, must be trained in the Surface Miner Common Core and the specialty modules for machines they will operate.
Surface Mining Operations fall under R.R.O. 1990, Reg. 854: MINES AND MINING PLANTS under the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Section 11 requires that employers train new employees, and maintain training for all employees.
