Too often, training is treated as a checkbox - something to complete for a certificate or to meet a regulation. But compliance is the baseline, not the goal.
Since 2007, our team at Safety Guys has been helping workers across Ontario build the knowledge, confidence, and awareness to work safely, not just to “pass a course.” Our training gives workers the core principles of safe work: how to see hazards sooner, make better decisions, and speak up when something doesn’t feel right. When employers add their site‑specific instruction, workers get the full picture - the general practices that apply everywhere, and the unique risks on their job. That’s when safety stops being abstract and starts becoming personal. Because safety doesn’t come from rules alone. |

We loved having Chris Blackburn at Prince Edward Learning Centre. I run a youth employment program and Chris was wonderful with all the participants. They appreciated his real life stories.
