Our Joint Health and Safety Committee Part 1 training will equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and implement effective preventive measures through inspections and investigations.

​It empowers committee members to actively contribute to the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures. In addition, this training fosters a culture of proactive risk management within your workplace.

If your company employs 20 or more employees you are legally required to have a Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC). Safety Guys is proud to announce that we are now a CPO approved program provider of JHSC Part 1  and Part 2.

Through engaging instruction, group work and class participation you will learn to become an effective certified member.

• At least one worker and one employer on a JHSC must be certified.
• To be certified by the Chief Prevention Officer, students must successfully complete Part 1 and 2 of an approved JHSC training program. 

​When employees are educated on best practices for maintaining a safe work environment, they become valuable assets in preventing accidents or injuries from occurring.

Refresher training:  3 years

Your joint health and safety committee certification is valid for 3 years after the successful completion of an approved JHSC Part two training program.

• You must successfully complete a refresher program within three years of the date of certification, or the date of successfully completing a refresher program, to keep your certification valid.

To be eligible for refresher training, workers must have successfully completed both parts of an approved JHSC certification program. You can check eligibility status using the eligibility checker tool.

What we provide: Full colour manuals, student workbooks, a copy of the Green Book, an engaging, highly knowledgable instructor, comfortable chairs, group discussions and evaluations. We submit your training records though SkillsPass to the Chief Prevention Officer (CPO).
