PLANNING
The safety of your high school students as they prepare for their first job or placement is so important.  We realize safety training can be an expensive investment, so we developed ELSA, our Entry Level Safety Awareness Program to help bridge the gap between training and what can be challenging financial realties.

We offer low half-day and full-day rates to help local school boards affordably provide quality safety instruction to students. Every course we offer is eligible for the educational rate  - some age restrictions may apply. Ontario High Schools and School Boards are welcome to contact us for our Educational Rate Card. Then we'll work with you to provide the courses you need at the time and place best for your students.

PLANNING: While most courses can be conducted within the available time frame for school schedules, some courses, such as Working at Heights, will require students to stay after the regular end-of-day and alternative transportation methods for those students should be arranged in advance. Regular lunch periods and breaks may also have to be shortened in order to fulfill course requirements.
ELSA Trades programs are designed to teach basic landscaping and construction techniques,
transferrable job skills, and personal empowerment to new and young workers.

ELSA TRADES: 2-8 week training packages

Our Elsa Trades programs are designed to assist High Schools and Employment Services offer an exciting option for job training. These market specific training packages provide transferrable job skills and personal empowerment to new and young workers.

Safety Guys instructors have combined extensive backgrounds in carpentry, landscaping, warehousing, forestry and horticulture. For over ten years,  Safety Guys has been working with local service organizations in Kingston, Napanee and Brockville to develop and offer programs that combine our innovative safety training with practical training in one of the focus trades.

These hybrid programs are designed to prepare youth for a new career and help them find employment in a field that is very much in demand of skilled workers. Courses vary in length from two to eight weeks depending on budget and the desired outcomes.

All courses provide the appropriate safety certifications, such as WHMIS and Working at Heights, as well as hands-on projects that prepare and empower students for entry level positions.
